Professional Development Meeting

Topic: Cloud Computing - Aspirin for Supply Chain Headaches!

APICS Tampa Bay, the leading association for supply chain and operations managementinvites local supply chain, operations management, transportation and logistics professionals to our Professional Development Meeting on September 8, 2015 from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at the DoubleTree Hotel Tampa Airport Westshore, 4500 W. Cypress Street, Tampa, FL 33607.

This will be a joint meeting with the Financial Executives Networking Group (FENG).

Our speaker is Sree Rajagopalan, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President of Murano Corporation (www.muranocorp.com), a next generation Enterprise Cloud Software Company headquartered in Research Triangle Park (RTP), North Carolina. He will share how his organization's clients are improving supply chain visibility, inventory turns and customer intimacy with better processes and innovative modern cloud technology.

Common supply chain challenges faced by businesses today include order processing, fulfillment, and invoicing errors when dealing with customers and suppliers. This leads to unhappy customers and lost sales, manual and duplicate processes, and poor employee morale eventually resulting in high turnover. Cloud Computing is the perfect medicine to get rid of these supply chain headaches.

Cloud Computing breaks down organizational silos and helps businesses collaborate better with their customers by establishing a common decision-making and information capturing framework. With Cloud Computing, businesses can shop, check product availability, compare competing offerings, request pricing either directly on their suppliers' order management systems or on their own internal purchasing systems and electronically integrate with suppliers' order management systems.

Improved supply chain visibility and inventory turns means better operational efficiency. Cloud Computing is here and moving to the cloud offers significant financial benefits.
