Job Description Responsible for executing procurement and planning processes to support manufacturing production. Responsible for planning production lines and material purchases. Specific Job Duties:
  • Implement and maintain an effective line scheduling system and process. Provide the shop floor with prioritized weekly schedules. Working with Manufacturing and Quality Groups to insure products are made and released on time.
  • Executing all tactical procurement activities including contract compliance, dispatch PO, expediting, supplier quality/delivery issue resolution, match exception resolution, site spend management , and site related and one-off procurement contracting.
  • Analyzing material requirements for weekly production schedule, place orders for required components, daily review of inventory items and make adjustments so that component receipts correlate to scheduled production. Will be required to maintain inventory within the stated goals for the year as well of administrating the PPV based on ordering patterns and pricing.
  • Maintenance of weekly production schedule to include issue resolution and revisions to insure products are being manufactured in time to meet customer order dates. Participation in weekly meetings with customers via teleconference. Monitor back orders and provide direction to prevent/reduce dollars and items. Update Customer tracking of production lots, date manufactured status of lot, QC release and ship dates.
  • Facilitating/implementing procurement cost savings activities and risk mitigation activities. Support all global procurement initiatives and participate in the supply strategy teams as required. Develop/Maintain the site buyer business plan and identify cost savings opportunities.
  • Review and maintenance of Bills of Materials in MRP System and document controlled records for assigned portfolio of products, along with labeling review and sign-off of associated products.
Qualifications
  • BS in Business or Management, Science preferred. MS/MBA/CPM/CPIM a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years procurement/sourcing experience and minimum of 2 years planning experience in pharmaceuticals or other process related industry.
  • Proven experience in RFI/RFP/RFQ development, execution, and negotiations.
  • Track record and implementation experience of procurement cost savings projects.
  • Must have applied experience in the contractual principles and the development/execution of contractual agreements.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing procurement tactics which comprehend and contribute to overall business objectives is a must.
  • Excellent communication skills throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Detail oriented with very good organizational skills.
  • Computerized MRP systems (PRISM), Spend Management System, P2P system, MS office products with emphasis on Excel.
  • Good negotiation and project management skills.
  • Supply Chain Risk Modeling skills.
