The Passport Program offers a management tool to increase chapter vitality! Chapters benefit from peer-driven feedback, Society support, and recognition at the Annual Awards Reception. Starting in 2005/2006, the chapters report specific information and document a minimum set of standards with the C-BAR program. The primary purpose of the minimum standards is to enhance the growth, development, and value-added of APICS chapters by evaluating each chapter against a set of criteria that is felt to have a direct and positive impact on chapter performance.
The program highlights good chapter management practices, including solid strategic planning, continuity among leadership, and recruiting and retaining members. Feedback from the chapter submission includes guidance from veteran chapter volunteers, and region leadership.
A chapter must maintain Gold level for five years before it can achieve Platinum status.
The Florida West Coast chapter has achieved Platinum status for 15 straight years!!!!
